Training at the prestigious and award winning Curracloe in West London was a fantastic experience. Since achieving my City & Guilds qualification, I worked at two further salons gaining a wide knowledge of all aspects of dog grooming. I started Jo & Co initially as a mobile grooming service, before working solely from my salon in Harpenden.

Dogs are exceptional animals that share our world and enrich our lives. I love them and know that their comfort and welfare are paramount. My particular passion are Greyhounds and I have always had rescue ex-racers at home. After losing my beloved Trudy in 2017, I now have Jonty. He is fun and crazy but has, as with all Greyounds, a wonderful temperament and love of running and sleeping.

I volunteer at a Greyhound Rescue Centre walking and feeding the dogs as they wait for their 'forever home'. In support of this we do fund raising, including manning stalls at open days and selling raffle tickets at Henlow Dogs charity evenings. My decision on which grooming salon to have as a workplace is based on one question: ‘Would I want my dog to be groomed here’? I simply provide the best I can.
